Dieting makes for little change

So here's the problem, I have a problem with food. I look in the mirror and have this image of myself that is an illusion based on a me of 14 years ago.

I attempt my latest fad eating in my eyes healthy, buying all the green stuff I can muster. But some will rot and some will be consumed neither will make me slimmer! Why? Because I offset the good intention with chocolate. My only sin but my greatest enemy.

So what do I weigh? It's irrelevant but if you must ask I weight just under 17 stone
My weight will flicker between a few pound either side. No sooner do I make in roads into my target of 16 stone I fuck up by eating chocolate again. My brain seems to think I have a daily requirement of survival related to chocolate. Wether it's boredom with daily work routine a feeling of unachieving I don't know. I need to change I'm hungry for change.

  1. A few things to do, first and most obvious, don't buy the chocolate so it isn't in the house to eat in the first place. Second, it may be the dopamine release you crave so try having raw organic cacao nibs instead of the sugar and milk laden chocolate bars from the shops. Third, if you're craving sweetness try snacking on medjool dates without the glucose rubbish over them or ripe bananas

This dieting lark does require some will power and some input. If you know you have a weakness for something then you do something else to counteract that. You have to be honest with yourself, brutally honest! How much do you want this? How unhappy are you at this weight? Do you want to be like this for the rest of your life? Are you happy to look forward to a life of health problems, possible diabetes and all the problems that brings? Are you happy to have a future of problems, guilt after you've eaten something you shouldn't?

These are VERY serious and real questions that you HAVE to ask yourself.

No, eating all the green stuff in the world will not make you slim if you're mixing it with the shit you put in your mouth (we may as well be honest here, prettifying things up aint gonna help anyone).
